CCM alloy wheel rim welding prices
Aluminium alloy wheel rims can and will crack when subjected to high impact.
Usually first noted by a slow puncture these cracks can be welded, but first you should get a price for a new wheel. We can be honest and say that a new wheel will always be better.
It will not be cheap and to that end we see CCM and many other companies across the UK offering a welding repair service.
Our pricing works as follows:
1. Remove the wheel from your car
2. Remove the tyre from the wheel rim
3. Carry out the necessary repairs
4. Refit the tyre and balance the wheel
5. Refit the wheel to the car
Now every customer is different and sometimes we get the whole car and sometimes just the wheel rim, but typically it’s the whole car so here is your most common price:
Remove and refit wheel + remove and refit tyre + crack repair:
£24 + £60.35 + VAT

Your Insurer WILL/SHOULD pay
We have consulted with 3 leading local insurance brokers who all concur that pot hole damage caused during normal day to day driving will (or at least should) be covered by any fully comprehensive insurance policy.
We cannot yet bill direct for this so you will have to settle our invoice, but you should be able to submit this as a non-fault claim thus not applicable to an insurance excess or affecting your no claims bonus, but we are not insurance advisors and customers should consult their respective insurers.

Can I get a better price?
Yes, you can take your own wheel off your car, and you can take your own tyre off your rim, but without the correct equipment that’s a pretty hard task.

Is it cheaper to just get a new wheel?
Nope!! We do the research plenty of times and it’s never been cheaper to buy a new wheel rim.

Can I get my wheel repaired today?
Yes we can usually squeeze in 1 or 2 extra jobs each day, but please don’t leave it until late afternoon as we are always busy and will look after customers on a first come first served basis.
